The U.S. government has reclassified catfish as meat. Thad Cochran (the R Senator from MS <-who is really a D->) got this added to the '08 farm bill and the '14 farm bill made it official. Republicans control both houses now...will they reverse it?
Of course not. Because they lack the intestinal fortitude and moral courage to do anything that creates a limited government. It's all about the next election and building up their war chests so they can defeat real conservatives in the next election.

Does this mean I can no longer eat catfish during Lent? <snort> I don't care if the government tells me a fish is meat or if the catfish self-identifies as a cow, a catfish is fish. Period.
Can cattle farmers get out of USDA inspections if their cows all self-identify as guppies?
