Proud of my Compassionate Conservative Teen

Blessed beyond measure. My son helped these ladies out when he was in Greensboro for a Room at the Inn Board Meeting one day and never said a word to anyone.........then this letter showed up and people told us!: "Several weeks ago, my friend took me shopping since I don't drive. We were coming home on Cornwallis Drive when we ran out of gas.A car stopped behind us, and a young man helped push the car onto a side street. He then went to a gas station for gas. He returned and would not accept any money for the gas.Thank you, Matt Curran. You are a special angel.- Margie Lowe, Greensboro"

This sweet lady took the time to write a letter! It was wonderful to get a glimpse of my son's "life on the streets".  I'm a proud mom. I thank God for this special child of His! What a blessing it is to have been given this gift - to watch him grow in Him. Blessed. I can't get over this.I did absolutely nothing to deserve this gift from God-- this precious child of God. What a blessing to have been able to take part in raising him. God is so good!

Matthew never mentioned it to anyone... and he wouldn't take their money. Just such a blessing that this lady wrote this letter so that we could see Matthew living his faith. All night long, I offered prayers of thanksgiving for God's many blessings. This is all His work. WOW... just wow...... God is so good. Matthew still would not have told us....... What an amazing God we have. Thank you Jesus. I am in awe of all the things God has done in our lives. I can't wait to see what God has in store for Matthew !!! He leaves for college in the fall..... It is going to be such a blessing to watch.

I tell people, if they lived one day in my house, they would know that this was ALL God's doing!  I mean, I know we have a role to play, but I give credit to God. He truly, truly makes up for where we are lacking. We have asked Him and prayed that He would make up for our shortcomings as parents... though, I speak for myself.  Hubby may not agree that we BOTH have shortcomings! ha ha ha. In all seriousness, God has blessed us abundantly and done great things in each and every one of our lives.

He is a great role model! Blessed, blessed, blessed. God is so good. What an amazing blessing that Margie wrote this letter. Chris asked Matthew how they knew his name and he said, "Well they asked me my name and I told them."   Funny enough, though, he doesn't want thanks!  He was embarrassed by the thank you letter and all... and said to me, "You're going to show this to your friends, aren't you?"  It's public information now, and I'm going to blog about it! . You know, if I ran out of gas, he'd take my cash! Bwahahahahahahahaha ~laughter~

God is good.
